Song-Writing Contest:  7/10/08 - 2/28/09

We are holding a song-writing contest to find a theme song for Southside.  This song will be used in our radio advertisements and other promotional activities.

• The song has to pertain to Southside Bar & Grill.

• $5 entry fee for each song.

• Deadline is on January 12, 2009.

• The winner has to give consent that the song is free for Southside to use.

• Song lyrics will have to be provided for the competition.

• Contestants and/or performers must be 21 or older.

• Each song will be performed live for a semi-final and/or a final if selected.

• The final is on February 28, 2009.

• Each semi-finalist will receive a gift certificate from Southside.  Winner gets $500 and a free studio recording session for the song.

• Contestants are encouraged to practice on Monday Open Mic Night.

Best Tattoos Contests: 8/15/08 - 11/2/08

• It is a 12-week competition.

• $5 entry fee for each person.

• Judging is based on a single tattoo regardless of how many tattoos there are on a person.  If the tattoo is linked, i.e. a full body tattoo, then it will be judged as one tattoo.

• We will select 3 ladies on Friday each week and 3 men on Saturday each week for 10 weeks for the semi-finals.

• We will select 10 ladies on October 24, 2008 for the Women's final and 10 men on October 25, 2008 for the Men' final.

• Women's final is on November 1, 2008 and Men's final is on November 2, 2008.

• Each semi-finalist will receive a gift certificate from Southside.  Winners will each receive $200, 2nd Runner-ups will each receive $50, and 3rd place winners will receive prizes from sponsors.

Halloween Costume Party: 10/31/08

1. Costume Contest at 10pm.

2. Drinks Special: Bloody Mary for $4.
